People ask me this all the time, and I get it — walking into a new gym with your kid is a little bit of an unknown. So let me just tell you exactly what happens, plainly, so you can come in with nothing but your player's basketball shoes and an open mind.
Your first class is the intro. We meet your player where they are — age, level, how much they love the game right now, all of it. Nobody gets sorted or ranked. Nobody gets embarrassed. What they get is a coach who knows this game as well as anyone alive and actually wants to teach it. We work on something real. They leave better at something specific. Most Importantly- The Kids Have Fun. That part I guarantee.
Your second class is on me. Free, no strings, no pressure.We do that because it simplifies things. You just have to choose which to try first instead of which might be the best.
Improvements begin almost immediately. That's when players start to get curious about what else is in the bag, and that curiosity is the whole thing.
What I'm actually looking for in those first two classes? Whether your player enjoys it. Build a base for fundamentals. Teach them what "coachable" means. We can teach a kid who loves the game to do almost anything. The only variable I can't teach is wanting it. So we come to find out together whether the spark is there — and if it is, we build from it.
